Optional serving options: lettuce wraps, over rice, over chopped lettuce
Optional garnish: sesame seeds, green onions
INSTRUCTIONS:
In a small bowl, stir together the brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic chili sauce, crushed red pepper flakes, ginger, garlic powder, onion powder, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add ground beef and cook until just browned, about 2-3 minutes. Add in the diced onion and finish cooking until meat is fully cooked and onions are soft, about 6-7 minutes. Break up the meat and drain fat if needed.
Stir in the sauce mixture and cook for another 2 minutes.
Serve as desired and top with optional garnishes. Enjoy!
NOTES:
If you do not get extra lean ground beef, you will need to drain the fat from the pan as directed in step 2.
