Fresh Peach Cobbler
SERVINGS: 6 to 8 servings
INGREDIENTS:
4 ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
1 stick of butter, melted
1 cup of milk
1 ¾ cup sugar, divided
1 cup flour
1 ½ teaspoon baking power
¼ teaspoon salt
Light sprinkle of cinnamon
½ teaspoon almond extract
INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat.
Mix 1 cup of sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
Gradually add in milk and stir to combine.
Mix sliced peaches with ¾ cup of sugar and almond extract.
Pour melted butter into a 9 x 13 baking dish.
Pour the dough mixture on top of the butter.
Do not stir.
Carefully spoon the peach mixture on top of the dough mixture.
Do not stir.
Lightly sprinkle with cinnamon.
Bake uncovered for 55-60 minutes or until the edges have browned.
